Weight Loss: Where Should You Focus Your Energy?

Most people come to me to lose weight but they find that they’d rather focus on something else. Imagine thinking about weight loss, calories, and “good and bad” food your whole life. Some of you may already do this. Isn’t it exhausting?! What a way to live life. Do I want my life mission to be focused on my weight? The obvious answer is no, but we’ve never asked the question quite like that. Unfortunately, many of us have made it our life mission unknowingly.

Don’t you want a life full of purpose, fulfillment, and joy? Well, then, we have to start focusing on the right stuff. If you focus on the stuff that really matters to the core of who you are, then we stop fueling the negative self talk about how “difficult it is for me to lose weight” or “how many calories or points are in this food.” When we live out our purpose, the weight falls off because we are not obsessing about sweets, junks, etc. We simply eat good food and enjoy it without binging for fear that our new diet program will take it away. I think life must have treats but quality is my focus.

At Happy Food, we learn about food, we enjoy it, and we focus on the stuff that really matters. Sometimes, it’s super fun and other times, it’s the most difficult thing to resolve but so rewarding when we finally tackle our obstacles.
