If you’re still counting calories for weight loss, you’re missing out on how health and nutrition work towards efficient metabolism. Our body is so much more than calories in and calories out. For example, inflammation is one of the main reasons why you may struggle with weight loss. When we gain weight, we increase inflammation which leads to insulin resistance, and insulin resistance lead to increased weight gain. So continues the vicious cycle.
I’m only telling you this so you understand why it is so difficult to lose weight. Let’s create a complete plan that addresses the whole body versus a quick fix diet that does not sustain. This is so important because most Americans are highly inflamed due to a combination of eating processed foods, lack of exercise, stress, lack of sleep, etc. These factors increase inflammation, and increased inflammation result in more weight gain. Let’s break this cycle! Here’s how we reduce inflammation:
- Reduce sugar
- Eliminate highly processed foods, junks, saturated oils, etc.
- Add anti-inflammatory foods such as omega-3 fats, foods high in fiber, nuts, seeds, healthy oil, etc.
- Sleep, sleep, and quality sleep
- Reduce stress
Although this list may be very familiar to you, are you taking action? Knowledge is not power if we don’t use it. Learn how to break through on the mindset that is keeping you stuck. Get support from someone who will simplify the information, hold you accountable, and help you change your relationship with food and health. I can’t wait to meet you.
