As a kid, I felt abandoned by my family—shipped away from my parents at 9 months, passed on to my aunt who got married and passed me along to my grandma. I felt unwanted, unloved, and forced to grow up quickly and be very independent. I put myself through college and don’t recall having the luxury of being a playful kid.
Things happen for a reason, but no one took the time to explain it to me so needless to say, I truly struggled emotionally as a child, an adolescent, and an adult. I was self-destructive, suicidal, depressed, angry, lonely, and incredibly negative. Life was a struggle.
Why am I sharing something so personal? It took decades for me to turn my life around. I often see people in my office who want to loss weight and be healthier, but they keep hitting a wall. That wall represents all their self-destructive belief system that stops them from succeeding in weight loss or in relationships, career, and financial health for that matter.
That wall represents all the things we’ve accumulated in our subconscious brain that disrupts our true desire to succeed (consciously). We have to change our belief system, how we talk to our self, the words we use, and most importantly our self worth. The old broken records will never allow us to succeed for the long term. So, counting calories certainly won’t help you here. If being healthy and losing weight has been a struggle for a long time, you bet it goes deeper than just “lack of self-control.” You may not be as negative as I was (thankfully!), but we all have self-defeating thoughts that keeps us stuck (knowingly or unknowingly).
If I believed that no one loved me including my parents, how could I possibly accept love from others and create a healthy relationship with an intimate partner or even myself? I had to change my silent thoughts. Thankfully, with the help of others and lots of time, I am truly naturally happy today. And now, it feels like life is completely easy and I don’t have to try so hard. That’s what I want for you—not to try so hard anymore. I’ve challenged myself to travel 30 countries alone, I have an amazing marriage, and own a thriving business.
Rewire your brain to live a blissful life, and you don’t have to try so hard to be healthy, thin, successful, and enjoy a loving relationship or a rewarding career. Start with a free consultation, and let’s see if we’re a good match. The weight sheds off when we start addressing our real barriers instead of banishing our lack of discipline. Thank you all for positively contributing to my life.
