Healthiest New Year Foods

Every year, many of us torture ourselves with New Year resolutions that just end up making us feel self-defeated because time and time again, we fail. This year, I’d like to challenge you to a different mentally whether you want to lose weight, be healthier, or simply feel energized and happier in your body.
Consider trying some of these new foods, not because they are amazing (although some are) but for the sake of trying something delightful…for the sake of trying something light and fun versus restrictive and regimented. Explore new lands, try new activities, try new foods, expand your horizon; do things that make you happy. In this process, you will focus on the positive of being healthy in place of the negative of how difficult it is for you to lose weight and constantly checking on the results to see if your plan works. What we choose to focus on becomes our reality. For example, if we say “I can never lose weight,” then often that is exactly the case.
So, let’s focus on delightful new things instead. I’d like to share some foods with you. Again, it’s not that these foods are the very best (although bitter melon is high on the list) but it’s our shift in focus that makes us successful.
