3 Myths That Make You Gain Weight
There are lots of opposing information out there. Let’s simplify and at least stop doing things that actually make use gain weight. Here are some I’ve noticed.
- Calorie Counting – This is so old school. Calorie counting does not take into account quality. I’d rather you eat calorie dense foods that will actually aid in weight loss than to eat minimal “bad” calories and have your body dilute the toxin by adding more fat to your body.
- Low-fat Diets – Low-fat and non-fat foods often contain more sugar (which cause weight gain) and more artificial flavorings to make it taste good without the fat. A fat deprived body may lead to dementia since our brain requires lots of fat especially the good fats that are also good for HDL cholesterol.
- Grazing All Day – It’s fine to eat smaller meals more often to help boost our metabolism but grazing all day causes inflammation. Our gut needs a rest period from digestion. Eating all day can add more calories than you expect especially if we graze mindlessly all day.
